When you think about the Swiss, you think about their innovative ways of squeezing as many essential elements into a product as humanly possible. Just look at their watches - they can fit anywhere from 100 to 1,000 parts in a wristwatch. Sports car tuners Sportec follows the same philosophy in their vehicles. Based on the Porsche 997, the SPR1 T80, for instance, manages to get 858 hp from a six-cylinder boxer engine. It does so by slapping a pair of turbos to the 3.6 liter, 24-valve flat six. They then matched the powerplant to a permanent four-wheel-drive system. Result? 0-62 in 3 seconds onwards to a top speed of 236 mph But all this power doesn’t mean that the car’s out to destroy the planet. It’s still Euro IV emissions compliant. Stopping duties are shouldered by the ceramic discs and the select carbon fiber parts mean that the car’s both light and nimble. All this power comes great responsibility, a responsibility to stay alive and keep the others around you alive as well. $TBA.
