We all get excited to go for a roadtrip, but after the few couple hours we realize just how long we’re really going to be sitting in the same spot. If you don’t have nice scenery outside, and the weather is crummy, things get pretty dull quite fast. You don’t want to get too bored to quickly, so it is important to find entertainment. We look for the slightest things to keep us entertained when we’re bored, so you may want to consider a few of these tips!
Games – First of all, we always come up with games that we make up. The games that deal with license plates, trying to guess what the next person is going to look like (depending on their car), how many cars we can name that drive by, etc. There are endless games out there, so see what you can come up with.
Movies – If you’re lucky, you just may have a DVD player in your car already. If so, roadtrips are the time to take advantage of them. Get some of your favorite movies, and watch the hours fly by.
Video games – Video games are another great thing to do in the car. Systems like the Nintendo DS are perfect for car rides. Not only are they more affordable, but they have so many different games to choose from! If you want racing games, learning games, etc the DS has them!
Puzzles/magazines - If you go to the checkout at just about any store they will have a great selection of magazines and puzzles you can do. Certain things like crossword puzzles, and brain games are great for your memory, but they also help the time pass. Not to mention, magazines will keep you up to date with just about anything you’re looking for.
Knitting – If you like to knit or crochet, there is no better time to do it than in the car. When sitting in the car, you can easily create a blanket, scarf, or whatever you’re trying to make. This is the perfect pass time, and you can see how much you’ve progressed when the trip is over.
There are several things you can do when you’re looking for entertainment in the car. Really, you just need to be creative.
