Teasing us once again, F1-LIve is reporting that Formula One racing may return to the United States, absent here since they closed up shop and left after the 2007 Red Bull US Grand Prix. In fact, when we lost the Canadian Grand Prix, North America lost all Formula One races. But if the buzz is to be believed, they may have auctioned off that Ford GT a little too soon.
Reports are that automakers want to make a big show for fans in the United States and therefore want a race, but not at the Brickyard. A race somewhere on the East or West Coast is preferred. The possibility of a new US race also raises the possibility that Canada will get its Grand Prix back. We're just waiting for Tony George to somehow screw this up for us.
